Vermont Private Hospital

We are very proud to announce the successful completion and accreditation of Vermont Private Hospital, our brand new development at Vermont South in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.  With four operating theatres and private suites to accommodate overnight patients, the hospital has already attracted significant attention from the local medical community.

Our first ophthalmic services have commenced during November and interventional pain and spinal neurosurgery procedures will commence during January.  A huge vote of thanks to the efforts of the dedicated team of talented staff that have successfully delivered this project and the support of the doctors already enjoying the outstanding facilities at VPH.

Vermont Private Hospital will cater for a number of surgical specialties including ophthalmic, interventional pain & spinal procedures, general surgery, orthopaedic surgery, gastroenterology, oral-maxillofacial and ENT surgery.

For operating session availability and credentialing enquiries please contact Business Development Director Kylie Harris on 0405 150 071.

Southbank Day Surgery

We’re also very pleased to announce the latest hospital to join the Nexus group.  Southbank Day Surgery, located on the banks of the Swan River in South Perth, is a high-quality 23-hour stay facility with six operating theatres and three procedure rooms.  The facility currently caters for dermatology and paediatric dental surgery, plastic surgery, ENT and general surgery, and has an outstanding reputation for a caring patient experience and efficient management of short stay cases.

This transaction was completed on 30 November and we’re delighted to have another well-respected facility join the group. Nexus will work with the management of SDS to explore the additional of further surgical specialties over time.

For enquiries about operating sessions and credentialing please contact Bronwyn Grant (GM/DON) on 0429 368 730 or Scott Bell (Executive Director) on 0414 686 073.

New Theatre at Tennyson Centre Day Surgery

Increasing demand from our existing surgeons and requests from new surgeons has driven a recent expansion of our facilities at Tennyson Centre Day Surgery with the addition of a new operating theatre.  The theatre was completed during November and the professionalism and flexibility of the staff at TCDH resulted in this project being delivered with no interruption to existing operating lists.  A great design solution has also allowed for improved flow, additional storage, increased recovery area and improved amenities for patients and staff.

Session times are already filling in this new theatre but we are welcoming enquiries for surgery sessions. Please contact Ann Phillips (DON) on (08) 8292 2331.

New Theatres at Bondi Junction Private Hospital

The recent addition of ophthalmic services at Bondi Junction Private Hospital has required the addition of two further theatres to cater for demand.  We have commenced construction and expect this project to be completed by the end of January.

These theatres will double the capacity of BJPH and allow us to cater for efficient delivery of high turnover admissions including ophthalmology, interventional pain and other day cases.  The increased capacity will also allow us to accept the applications we have for further sessions from plastics and ENT surgeons.

For enquiries about the services provided at BJPH or credentialing applications please contact Bronwyn Jenner (GM / DON) on (02) 8305 2503.

Commencing Ophthalmology at Insight Clinic

We are delighted to announce the commencement of ophthalmic services at Insight Clinic Private Hospital in Albury. We are now catering for all the surgical lists from Albury’s leading ophthalmic practice, Eye Clinic Albury-Wodonga.

The staff at Insight Clinic have delivered an exceptional service right from the first list and we are delighted with the success of this new offering.  We expect that as this service grows we will require the development of an additional theatre and recovery area and plans are already in development to cater for this requirement.

For any enquiries relating to Insight Clinic Private please contact Debbie Barker on (02) 6058 0888.

Best Wishes For The Holiday Season

As 2016 draws to a close we would like to thank the surgeons and staff at all our facilities for the support and enthusiasm that has underpinned such a successful year for our group as a whole.  Your loyalty and hard work are appreciated and we have valued the constructive engagement with which you’ve embraced the growth and success of Nexus. From all the team at Nexus we wish you a safe, happy and restful period over the holidays.  We’re looking forward to continuing our journey together and further growth and success in 2017.
