Bronwyn has a 20-year track record of senior management roles in the healthcare industry, and has in this time honed formidable leadership skills, being well-respected for her ability to optimise resources whilst bringing out the best in others to achieve organisational objectives. A strong believer in the power of persistence, her greatest satisfaction lies in supporting colleagues to achieve their goals, encouraging personal accountability and maintaining a positive high-energy culture.
A nurse by training, Bronwyn believes that high quality patient care is founded on trust and respect, and that educating patients prior to their hospital visit is key to delivering a premium patient experience. Bronwyn is known for both her sense of fairness and her great sense of fun, and uses these traits to engage with her teams, constantly evolving the pathway to exceptional patient care – ensuring patients feel well-cared for from the time they enter the hospital to the time they are discharged.
Bronwyn has a strong sense of philanthropy and civic service, and has been involved with numerous charitable and community organisations. She is currently involved with the Rotary Club of Nedlands where she mentors young business students, is on the Vinnies project team to develop quick housing, the Perth Lord Mayor’s leadership team, and the advisory Board for Aged Care for the South Perth Council. She is also on the fundraising teams for the RSPCA and the Western Australian Opera, as well as being involved with strategic and long term fundraising planning for the Australian and Western Australian Ballets.
In her down time Bronwyn can be found reading, boating, keeping fit, and cooking, a passion which in 1995 led to her founding the Women, Wine and Wisdom group, which neatly combines cooking classes and wine tasting with investment opportunities for women.
