    About the Role

    Reporting to the Chief People and Culture Officer, this is a newly created position due to significant growth.  The People & Culture Advisor will work collaboratively with frontline hospital teams, providing end-to-end advisory and technical support on employee and industrial relations, work health and safety, implementation of new people initiatives, direct coaching with hospital line management, and supporting all aspects of the employee life cycle and upcoming acquisitions.

    As the business is scaling quickly, this role provides the opportunity for career growth and development as you will be a key contributor in developing and embedding the People & Culture function. You will be part of a team who are passionate about creating the best employee experience.

    About You

    You are a natural collaborator and work effectively with all stakeholders, and enthusiastic to help create a leading People and Culture function.

    You will bring strength in employee relations and coaching, and provide pragmatic, fit for business solutions, demonstrating the ability to deploy solutions and act quickly. A focus on continuous improvement and the ability to evolve with a changing landscape will be key.

    To be successful in this role, you will offer:

    • Tertiary qualification in HR or related discipline with proven generalist experience working in healthcare or a larger operating business;
    • Exceptional coaching, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently, be proactive and have an action oriented approach;
    • A high level of initiative, energy, drive and customer service;
    • Experience with the Nurses Award will be well regarded.

    Tennyson Centre Day Hospital is seeking an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Registered or Enrolled Nurse to join our Pre-admission team in a permanent part time basis working up to 6 days per fortnight.

    The Tennyson Centre Day Hospital is a purpose built, Day Surgical Hospital located in Kurralta Park, S.A.

    Our specialties include Gastroenterology/Endoscopy, Ophthalmology, Urology, Minor Plastic Surgery, Oral Surgery, and an Infusion Service. We are supported by 2 Operating Theatres, 3 Procedure Rooms, an 11 bed first stage Recovery & 11 chair second stage Recovery.

    We offer a Monday to Friday roster, no call, no night duty or weekends. Free parking available to all staff.

    About the Role

    The Preadmission Team provides exceptional individualized care and is committed to improving the patient experience by providing evidence-based education, information, and support to facilitate safe and timely preparation of elective surgery patients with a patient-centred focus.

    This role will see you demonstrate your commitment to providing quality clinical care.  The pre-admission nurse ensures that pre-operative patients receive a comprehensive pre assessment, education and appropriate referrals are in place to optimize the surgical pathway.  The role has a strong commitment to the Tennyson Centre Day Hospital mission and values with staff striving to offer a compassionate service to patients and their families, to show sensitivity regarding privacy, flexibility when considering patients individual needs, and to promote a helpful environment in which the multidisciplinary team works effectively.

    About you

    To be considered suitable for this role you must have:

    • Current AHPRA registration with 2+ years’ experience in a surgical nursing
    • Previous experience working within a pre-admission environment will also be advantageous
    • Clinical competency and the ability to maintain the highest standards of nursing practice
    • Excellent knowledge and assessment skills in surgical nursing
      Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
    • High level communication skills when liaising with patients, families and staff within professional, legal and ethical parameters
    • Exceptional time management
    • Experience in using electronic information systems such as patient information systems, procedural booking system, Outlook and Microsoft Excel

     

    The successful candidate will be hard working, enthusiastic and able to show initiative. You will be approachable with a mature and confident attitude and have the ability to work and achieve results independently.

    Orange Private Hospital is looking to recruit both Registered and Endorsed Enrolled Nurses trained as scrub/ scouts to join our team.

     About the Role

    The role advertised is for both surgical ward and Scrub/scouts. Applicants can be assured that your application will be considered based on your area of expertise and skillset across the full scope of the Operating Theatre, Recovery and Surgical Ward settings.

    You will report to the Nurse Unit Manager, and perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, Clinical Nurse, Team and Shift Leaders, to ensure a high level of quality patient care which are aligned to our care values and strategic direction of the Nexus Hospitals.

    About You

    To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong clinical skillset in a hospital setting as a trained scrub scout or surgical ward nurse with a passion for client care and a high standard of customer-focused service in line with Nexus core values of Respect and Collaboration, Commitment to Excellence. and Innovation. Candidates applying for the role must have exceptional communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment that delivers surgical services across a range of medical specialties including orthopaedics, ENT, urology, ophthalmology, gynaecology and general surgery. Nursing staff with experience across all specialties are highly desirable.

    The flexibility to work a rotating roster will be key for this role.

    Mandatory Pre-requisites:

    Current nursing registration with AHPRA as a Registered or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse.

    • EENs must be certified to administer medication and IV’s.
    • 1 Year minimum Post-Graduate Experience working as a scrub scout is essential to this role with orthopaedic specialty experience being highly desired.
    • Any post-graduate qualifications in a relevant perioperative specialty will be highly regarded, though not essential.
    • Applicants must have Australian citizenship/residency. Unfortunately we are not able to consider sponsorship at this time.
