    Your Contribution 

    Material’s Officers/Storepersons form a critical part of our team. We are seeking an experienced Storeperson to support practices by way of effective management of stock levels of surgical consumables, instruments and consignment stock. You will be responsible for ordering, receiving, unpacking stores and consumables used within the hospital as well as checking and preparing invoices.

    About the Role:

    The Associate Unit Manager acts as a resource person for theatre staff as well as assuming responsibility for the department in the absence of the Clinical Services Manager.

    You will perform clinical and management duties with the support of the Clinical Services Manager.

    You will work closely with our nursing, medical and support staff to provide a positive experience for the team and our patients.

    This role includes providing mentorship to junior staff and assisting the Clinical Services Manager as required. Shifts times can vary from 6, 8 or 10 hours to accommodate lists but are generally 8-10 hours.

    A post graduate theatre certificate is preferred.

    This role is Permanent Part Time – (minimum 48 hours per fortnight)

    About You: 

    The successful applicant for this position will have the following:

    • Team player with the ability to promote a cohesive team environment
    • Minimum of two years scrub/scout experience in Plastic and ophthalmology
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Current APHRA registration
    • Post graduate certificate in peri-operative nursing.
