Welcome to Tennyson Centre Day Hospital
Since 2009, Tennyson Centre Day Hospital has provided superior multi-disciplinary day surgery procedures with dignity and understanding. We are known for our expertise in surgical care, excellent patient amenities and friendly, professional nursing staff who ensure your personal privacy is respected at all times.
In line with the South Australian State Government announcement on 1st February for a staged resumption of all elective surgery, we will recommence private day surgery procedures from 7th February. We ask that you contact your treating surgeon to find out when your surgery will proceed.
All elective surgery patients, regardless of their vaccination status, will be required to undertake a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) before admission. We will contact all patients prior to admission with detailed instructions regarding the testing process, with a negative result required for your procedure to proceed. If you have any symptoms of COVID-19, please do not attend the hospital, and instead contact us on 08 8292 2331. Vaccinated patients will be required to show evidence of vaccination on entry.
Further information on the precautions we are taking regarding the COVID-19 outbreak can be found here.
Tennyson Centre Day Hospital provides two state of the art operating theatres, three procedure rooms and the latest equipment. We are working toward full compliance against AS/NZS 4187 by 2021.
