Debra was appointed as a non-executive director of Nexus Hospitals in February 2025. She is an experienced director and chair with specialist corporate governance expertise and extensive international experience across a range of sectors.
Debra brings extensive board and chair experience, including leadership roles in BlueScope joint ventures across Asia and as chair of Tata BlueScope Steel in India. She previously served as chief legal officer at BlueScope with global responsibility for legal, governance, and compliance. Debra has held senior roles at leading global law firms, with over a decade of international experience in Hanoi and Paris.
Debra brings a broad portfolio of expertise across commercial law, major infrastructure and finance projects, strategic and crisis management (including cyber), regulatory compliance, ethics, corporate governance, and social responsibility. Her international experience spans Australia, Europe, North America, the Middle East, Africa, China, India, and South-east Asia, working across sectors including energy, renewables, health, defence, manufacturing, and finance.
As a member of Chief Executive Women and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), Debra is passionate about strengthening organisational governance and delivering high-impact, sustainable outcomes in complex environments.
