    If you are interested in operating at Insight Private Hospital, you are welcome to book in a tour of our facilities. We will then send you an Application for accreditation form, and request your:

    • Current Medical Indemnity Insurance Policy
    • Current AHPRA Registration
    • CV with 3 Referees
    • Evidence of 100 points of ID
    • National Police Check
    • Working with Children Check
    • Signed Copy of the Code of Conduct Policy
    • Completed Immunization Statement
    • Signed VMO Credentialing Policy
    Medical Advisory Committee

    Our Director of Nursing will check your references and present all documents to the Insight Private Hospital Medical Advisory Committee (MAC). The MAC Chairman may grant temporary approval pending ratification by the MAC at their next meeting, at which full privileges can be granted for a period of one year. Privileges will then be reviewed, and a further five years granted. Privileges are reviewed thereafter at five year intervals.

    Hospital by-laws

    All Nexus Hospitals operate under By-laws approved by the Nexus Hospitals Board. These By-laws empower medical staff to give assurance of quality hospital medical care.

    The By-laws outline the management policies approved by the Board, and document

    • the Terms of Reference for the Insight Private Hospital Medical Advisory Committee
    • the process of accrediting practitioners at Insight Private Hospital and defining their scope of practice
    • the obligations on accredited practitioners in relation to the safety and the quality of care of patients, and include those relating to patient privacy, open disclosure, infection control and reporting, and medical research
    • the expected conduct of accredited practitioners at Insight Private Hospital.

    Our goal is to ensure every aspect of your practice management and patient care is seamless and we will work with your practice manager to ensure our processes can be integrated into their workflows. We encourage your staff to visit our hospital to see and experience your patient journey first hand.

    On your first day with us, you’ll be given a comprehensive tour of all the facilities and introduced to our staff. We will also work with you to configure aspects of our operating theatres to suit your procedures and preferences.

    C-Suite Partners is exclusively partnering with Nexus Hospitals for the appointment of their General Manager/Director of Nursing at Insight Private Hospital.

    Insight Private Hospital is a premium boutique short-stay private hospital within the Gardens Medical Centre, located in the heart of Albury. This first-class facility features four fully integrated, state-of-the-art operating suites, a 10-bed short-stay wing. It provides surgical services in specialties: orthopaedics, general surgery, ophthalmology, pain mgt, and gynaecology, IVF, and dental.

    Reporting to the Nexus Operations Director – North, the role requires strong and sensitive leadership including the provision of strategic direction for our clinical as well as finance and administration staff. This position also offers excellent career development opportunities within a supportive team.

    Key Requirements:

    • Registered General Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and holds a current practicing certificate.
    • Strong experience in a management role of the same calibre.
    • Demonstrated success managing Quality Systems, auditing, and compliance schedules while being able to interpret/communicate results and implement any required changes.
    • Practical experience with Quality Improvement activities, Infection Control Management, Work Health & Safety, Human Resource Management, Accreditation Programs and The National Safety & Quality Health Service Standards.
    • Knowledge of Clinical and Non-Clinical Award Provisions, or industrial instruments, whichever applies and can practically apply them in a workforce situation.
    • Knowledge of industry guidelines within their area of expertise. Examples are but are not limited to ACORN standards, GENCA Guidelines and relevant Australian Standards or Legislation.
    • Exemplary customer service skills.
    • The ability to develop, implement and evaluate policy and procedures, especially as they relate to Guidelines, Standards, Legislation &/or Nursing.

    Background and Qualification:

    • Background of success in a senior hospital leadership role.
    • Desire to work as part of a collaborative team where respect and cooperation are paramount.
    • Registration with AHPRA.
    • Post-graduate nursing qualifications.
    • Thorough understanding of clinical governance and accreditation processes.
    • Proven ability to create a hospital culture providing premium service for Doctors and their patients.
    • Well-developed management and leadership skills.
    • Strong interpersonal, communication and commercial skills both written and verbal.
    • Ability to work well under pressure and remain flexible in a changing dynamic environment.
